The Section of Researchers’ (SOR’s) Blueprint for Family Medicine Research Success

The Section of Researchers’ (SOR’s) Blueprint for Family Medicine Research Success 2012–2017 is a detailed outline of the work to be undertaken by the SOR to support the vision of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. It contains five strategic objectives, which will guide our activities for a 5-year period.


Highlights of the Section of Researchers’ Spring 2014 Council Meeting

The Section of Researchers’ Council oversees the business of the SOR. The Council activities include advocating for and supporting family medicine research in Canada, developing and implementing the SOR’s Blueprint for Family Medicine Research Success, and monitoring the progress of the SOR’s activities. CFPC Members Awarded CIHR-PHAC Applied Public Health Awards

Congratulations to Dr Wendy Norman and Dr Janet Smylie, both of whom have been awarded  Applied Public Health Awards from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). Dr Norman and Dr Smylie are both active members of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.

Family Medicine Research Awards

The Section of Researchers, with the support of the CFPC and the CFPC’s Research and Education Foundation, promotes the development of new knowledge and recognizes outstanding contributions to family medicine research through numerous honours and awards.
